Geisinger is another victim in Blackbaud 's long list. It informed its patients that the healthcare provider has been affected by the Blackbaud attack and some data may have been leaked.

Blackbaud, a popular cloud computing that primarily targets nonprofits and other organizations nationwide, including the Geisinger Foundation, notified the foundation about the breach.
According to the healthcare provider's press release:
Blackbaud informed Geisinger that an unauthorized individual gained access to Blackbaud's systems between February 7 and May 20 and obtained backups of databases used by Blackbaud customers, including the database that manages Geisinger's donor information.
Geisinger launched an internal investigation, which found that the database contained certain patient information, including names, dates of birth, age, gender, treatment dates, services, treating physicians, and/or medical record numbers.
Social Security numbers, financial account numbers, and credit card numbers are not included in the database and were not involved in the incident. Also, the security breach did not involve access to Geisinger's electronic health records.

Geisinger has set up a dedicated call center where concerned patients affected by the incident can call and receive information about the breach and their data.
Patients should review the statements they received from their medical provider and contact the provider immediately if they identify any services they did not receive, the press release states.
