Press Release: COSMOTE Fiber: 36 new areas throughout Greece with fiber optic to the home
-Fiber to the Home lines exceeded 250,000 – Target 300,000 by the end of the year

Thirty-six new areas across Greece now have access to 100% fiber to the home (FTTH) through COSMOTE Fiber, the largest fiber network in the country. Since the beginning of the year, more than 100,000 new FTTH lines have been added, a 70% increase compared to the end of 2019, despite the difficulties in network deployment due to the pandemic. Across the entire territory, households and businesses that now have access to the unlimited possibilities of fiber to the home exceed 250,000.
The new areas that gained access to FTTH infrastructure through COSMOTE Fiber -by region- are:
- Eastern Macedonia & Thrace: Drama, Kavala and Komotini
- Attica: Agia Paraskevi, Anixi, Dionysos, Ekali, Kamatero, Keratea, Koropi, Markopoulo, Nea Makri, Pikermi, Saronida and Chaidari
- North Aegean: Samos
- Western Macedonia: Kastoria and Ptolemais
- Thessaly: Trikala
- Central Macedonia: Giannitsa, Edessa, Kilkis, Naoussa and Serres. In Thessaloniki, the FTTH infrastructure reached the municipality of Epanomi for the first time , while in the municipality of Oreokastro it was extended to more households and businesses.
- Crete: Agios Nikolaos, Ierapetra and new areas of the municipality of Chania
- South Aegean: Ialysos and Rhodes
- Peloponnese: Corinth, Messina, Pyrgos of Elis and Tripoli
- Central Greece: Lamia and Chalkida
Thanks to the continuous expansion of the FTTH network, OTE Group remains first in population coverage , having installed over 75% of the country's total FTTH lines .

Fiber to the Home, from €28,90
COSMOTE offers the COSMOTE Double Play Fiberspeed 100 & 200Mbps from €28.90 per month, providing guaranteed ultra-high speeds of 100 & 200Mbps with the possibility of upgrading to 1Gbps in the future.
The price is formed in combination with the special subsidy of €360 of the Superfast Broadband action of the Ministry of Digital Governance. The action is implemented using the voucher method, which subsidizes the fixed fee of the COSMOTE Double Play Fiberspeed programs with €13/month, for a period of 24 months and the one-time connection cost with €482.
