Green Water & Power developers and electricians are celebrating a major milestone in electric vehicle charging this month with the deployment and activation of their 10,000th electric vehicle charging point in just three years. Green Water & Power (GWP) and its hardware partner, Autel , began deploying L2 chargers nationwide in 2023. Earlier this month, the companies activated their 10,000th charger.

That's an impressive number, but the real story is how quickly they got there: 10,000 chargers. For those doing the math, that's nearly 10 chargers going live every day, every day, including Sundays and holidays, for three straight years. And they don't seem to be slowing down.
This success is no coincidence. From the beginning, GWP and Autel designed their charging hardware and supporting software with reliability and flexibility at scale in mind. Michelle Luo, CEO of Autel Energy, said GWP has shown what this looks like in practice, consistently exceeding industry standards across their entire network. Green Water & Power is currently contracted to install over 3,000 additional Level 2 chargers and more than 100 DC fast chargers in the coming months, with other projects in various stages of development. The speed of deployment is impressive, but GWP is quick to point out that speed doesn’t matter if the network isn’t reliable. “Property owners and drivers don’t care how many chargers we have installed,” explains Danny Gold, President of Green Water & Power. “They care that the one in front of them is working every time they need it.”

Reliability is key to GWP’s success. The company claims that its network has delivered a total of 16.6 million kWh to date, maintaining an average uptime of 99.72%. This level of reliability is critical for user confidence, as electric vehicle drivers need to know that EV chargers will be available and operational when they need them. Replacing more than 22,000 metric tons of CO2 emissions is another significant achievement, highlighting the company’s contribution to reducing its environmental footprint.
GWP has been able to expand into every vertical sector that its customers operate in, from hotels and apartments to schools and hospitals.
