EduCBA education platform: We have reset your passwords

EduCBA is an online education website based in India and offers over 2,500 online courses and work-oriented learning programs focusing on finance, technology, and business to their 500,000 students.

Yesterday, EduCBA began sending data breach notification emails to customers, stating that their systems have been compromised and user data is exposed.

The notification is a bit odd, as it doesn't go into much detail about the information that was stolen and simply states that "your email, name, password, courses visited, etc. may have been compromised."

They have stated that they did not have access to financial information as they use third-party processors such as PayPal and 2Checkout to process payments.

As a precaution, EduCBA states that they have reset all user passwords.

"Therefore, as a precautionary measure, we have reset passwords . You can recover your password on our website," the data breach notification states.

A comment on Twitter, however, states that a user's account password was not reset.

If you have an EduCBA account, you should immediately change your password to a unique one used only on this website.

If your EduCBA password was used on other websites, it is recommended that you change the passwords on those websites to a strong and unique one.
