Samsung explained what the creepy message sent to its users worldwide was.
The message “1” created panic among those who received it because it was sent from an application that can be used to track and locate the phone or to remove the information stored on it.
The company said it was sent “unintentionally” and that there would be no long-term effects for users.
“The notification is being sent unintentionally to a limited number of Galaxy devices,” it said. “We can assure our users that this notification does not affect devices .”
Samsung did not explain the method of sending the message or the number of users who were affected.

In the last few hours, owners of Samsung Galaxy devices have found a notification on their phones with the message “1”. If they read the message or interact with it, the notification disappears.
This led to particular concern, given that there was nothing indicating where the message came from or what it would mean.
The message “1” came from the Find My Mobile, which is installed on Samsung phones to allow users to locate devices when they can’t find them or want to lock them if they are stolen.
Because it is able to track the device's location and delete files stored on it, some users are concerned that the notification could be an indication of a hack or bug, which could mean that their phone has been compromised.
