Viber and WhatsApp? Hellenic Police unlocks conversations

The Hellenic Police and the Hellenic Police are aiming to acquire an extremely expensive system that aims to immediately start monitoring Viber, WhatsApp and dozens of other Internet communication applications!

At the end of October, a team of EYP executives traveled to England where they appear to have attended a demonstration of such a system, while there is similar interest from Hellenic Police services, such as the Intelligence Management Directorate and the Counter-Terrorism Service.Viber and WhatsApp

Similar systems exist in the USA, Great Britain, France and other countries.

The procurement of these systems, which has been deemed an absolute priority by security authorities and secret services, is expected to change the data in investigations for the dismantling of criminal organizations that use 70-80% of these types of online applications for their communication.

However, it will also change the way hundreds of thousands of citizens communicate who knew that until now there was no possibility of monitoring Viber and used these specific online platforms for confidential conversations and for exchanging files and other data.
