Microsoft has unveiled a new logo for its upcoming Edge browser, which is based on Google's Chromium.
The new logo features the letter E as a wave (presumably for surfing the web). It looks modern, and closely follows the Fluent Design that Microsoft is using for its new Office and Windows 10X icons.
The new logo was revealed in an easter egg posted on Twitter. If you open the internal address edge://surf/, you'll see a mini-game that reveals the new logo.
The easter egg is not working yet, but is expected to appear soon in Insider builds of the upcoming browser.
As you may already know, Microsoft currently uses three channels to push updates to Edge Insiders. The Canary channel is updated daily (except Saturday and Sunday), the Dev channel receives weekly updates, and the Beta channel is updated every 6 weeks.
The stable channel also appears to be being prepared by the company.
The latest versions of Edge Chromium are currently:
Beta Channel: 78.0.276.24
Dev Channel: 79.0.309.11
Canary Channel: 80.0.320.0
