On October 15, Microsoft released the update for Windows 10 version 1809. This version includes some fixes, not related to security. However, according to the company, organizations using Windows Defender Advanced Threat Protection (ATP) may experience issuesdue to this version.
Microsoft has been advising all businesses running Windows 10 version 1809 and Windows Server 2019 not to install the KB4520062 update.
KB4520062 is the second update that Microsoft released in October. It is an optional update, which as we said does not contain fixes for security issues.
The problem with this particular version is that Microsoft Defender ATP “may stop working and fail to send reporting data.”

This is a big problem for businesses that rely on Defender ATP for antivirus , device monitoring, and more.
Therefore, computers running Windows 10 version 1809 and Windows Server 2019 are at risk from this release. The good news is that because it is an optional release, it may not have been installed by many businesses.
"The Microsoft Defender Advanced Threat Protection (ATP) service may stop working and fail to send reporting data. You may also receive an error 0xc0000409 in Event Viewer in MsSense.exe," Microsoft said.
The company believes the issue will be fixed by mid-November. However, we don't know if the fix will be available in Patch Tuesday, which will be released on November 12.
"At this time, we recommend that businesses with the above versions not install KB4520062. We are working on the issue and estimate that a solution will be available in mid-November," Microsoft said.
