Microsoft announced the Calls feature at a Samsung event in August. The feature will be available to all devices running Android 7 or later from Google. Part of the “Your Phone” app, “Calling” is rolling out to Windows Insiders starting today.
So if you have an Android phone, the Calls feature will allow you to answer and make phone calls from your computer. You will be able to access your call history through the “Your Phone” app and seamlessly switch calls between your computer and your phone.
You'll even be able to reject a call from your computer or send a custom text message in response.
All you need is an Android phone running Android 7.0 or later from Google and a Windows 10 PC with Bluetooth (no specific Bluetooth version).
Ultimately, Microsoft stated that this feature will only work if you are using Windows 10 19H1 with operating system build number 18362.356 or a later version.
Currently, it's only available to Windows Insiders running the Windows 10 19H2 update. This build will likely be released as "stable" for everyone sometime in October.
This feature was announced in a post for build 18999 of the upcoming Windows 10 20H1 update, which is expected to be released sometime in April 2020.
