Windows 10X: The king of software, Microsoft, has released a special version of Windows that will only run on dual-screen and foldable devices.
It's called Windows 10X and will be compatible with traditional Windows desktop software and not just apps from the Windows Store or apps you could run on the web , which is what we find on Windows RT and Windows 10 S.

The company has a new container technology that allows legacy apps to run. Windows 10X is designed for a distinct new wave of devices where its capabilities may be needed — devices like the dual-screen Surface Neo and upcoming devices from Asus, Dell, HP and Lenovo.
Ironically, it's not designed for Microsoft, as its new Surface Duo phone runs on Android. Of course, there's also the Surface Neo, which is a larger tablet-like device that will run Windows 10X.

Windows 10X features a brand new Start menu, which gives you a list of apps, documents, and files for easy access. In other words, it more closely mimics the functionality of smartphones and tablets.
Microsoft says Windows 10X will be released in 2020. The first devices will arrive next fall and will be powered by Intel chips.
