The WordPress development team released version 5.0.1 last night. It is a security release that is also required for all previous versions from WordPress version 3.7 onwards.
So it is important to update your websites immediately (*if they haven't been updated already). 
The above means that all developers of the application's plug-ins should read the 5.0.1 release notes for the compatibility of their plugins.
WordPress 5.0 and previous versions are affected by several bugs, which are published on the official CMS page. It should be noted that separate updates are also being released for WordPress 4.9, for users who have not yet updated to version 5.0.
