Wondering what Apple's next plans are for the iPhone? The answer is: turn it into an underwater camera. Of course, one could argue that iPhones can already be used underwater to take photos.
However, Apple is considering developing this feature to provide users with an amazing underwater photography experience. Apple's new phones are said to have an IP68 rating. IP68 indicates that the phone is water (and dust) resistant, so it can be submerged in water for a long time without any damage.
But Apple doesn't want to stop there. It doesn't just want the ability to take photos. It wants the best possible image quality. According to CultOfMac, the company wants to intervene in the design of phones and equip them with multiple sensors, which will adjust the shooting in the water. These settings can relate to color, lighting, depth, distance, etc.
Nothing has been made official at this time, but some information has been given about how Apple may be thinking about the new device.
According to this information, the waterproof device may feature an image sensor that will capture objects underwater. There will also be a management system that will adjust colors and contrast.
The device may also have a light sensor, which will adjust the brightness, above and below water, based on the lighting in the environment, as well as a depth sensor.
As mentioned above, it's not official yet. We don't know exactly when we might see this technology released, but we hope Apple can make its plans come true because it will definitely offer an exciting underwater photography experience.
