Spotify has been "opening its doors" to the public lately, with major changes to the platform. One of them is the ability for artists to upload their tracks directly to Spotify's platform. Now the streaming service is extending a similar invitation to podcasters, allowing anyone to add their shows to the podcast stream.

Spotify will not retain the shows itself, but will promote them through its platform once they are published by their creator. All you need to do is register your podcast's RSS feed on Spotify, and automatically after publishing new material, the material will also be available on Spotify.
The Spotify for Podcasters program is currently in beta, and the company warns that it has not been tested. However, the service guarantees that there will be statistics that will be updated daily, in which the user will be able to see how their podcasts are performing. The statistics will include: audience demographics, followers, listener location, and engagement.
A major concern of podcasters (and all creators) is how they will «reach» a larger audience. Adding their material to a platform with 180 million monthly active users is certainly a good start, which will also provide them with detailed audience statistics. As for the company's side, the fact that it will expand its content without any additional cost can only be positive.
The service has shown recently that it is welcome even to not-so-well-known artists / creators.
