Microsoft has released a new series of updates to OneDrive for iOS that provides easy access to the cloud storage service.
With this latest release, OneDrive for iOS reaches version 10.22, although the last two releases are the ones that bring substantial improvements to the application.
First of all, version 10.21, which was released on June 29, comes with improvements to the drag and drop experience. Microsoft has included improvements to prevent accidental drag and drop actions of files stored in the cloud by adding a confirmation to let you choose whether you want to complete the process or not.
"We like to make things easy. Unfortunately, it's all too easy to accidentally move items with drag and drop. We've added a confirmation to quick drag and drop movements to make it harder to accidentally move items," Microsoft explains.
Then there's version 10.22, which was released just a few hours ago and which comes with a major improvement for users who upload files to the cloud on a regular basis.
The OneDrive upload progress notification that appears on the screen within the app sometimes moves around the screen, and as it turns out, this wasn't a feature, but a bug that Microsoft fixed in this latest version.
"Sometimes the upload progress would move to the bottom of the screen in the upper left corner. This was annoying and has been fixed," the company said.
The new OneDrive update can be downloaded from the App Store using this link. Further improvements are expected next week, as Microsoft delivers new features for OneDrive for iOS every seven days. This is undoubtedly a welcome move, given Microsoft's focus on iOS and Android, as the company wants users to be able to connect to its services regardless of the mobile platform they use.
