According to rumors, Apple will release three different iPhone models in 2018. Among other things, a Plus version of the iPhone X is being offered that will have a larger screen and of course a higher…price!
You might be wondering - quite rightly - how much higher Apple will push prices? The truth is that after the unexpectedly low sales of the anniversary device, an even more expensive model wouldn't make much sense.
UBS analyst Steven Milunovich says the next-generation iPhone will be no different from the current lineup, and that despite the iPhone X price increase, the rest of the devices will likely remain the same or even see a price cut.
Specifically, the base iPhone X 2017 model will be offered for $1,099 while the upgraded version will be $100 more expensive.
The 2018 iPhone X will likely be priced at $999 or $900, depending on whether Apple wants to cut prices or not. Of course, the upgraded version of the model will cost much more.
The biggest surprise will be an iPhone with a 6.1-inch LCD screen that will cost $750 or $700. Next, the cost reduction will also bring some shortcomings in the new devices. Some of these are dual cameras, a glass body and wireless charging.
Older models could also be offered at discounted prices, such as the iPhone 8, which could sell for $550, the iPhone 7 for $450, and the iPhone SE for just $300.
For information, statistics show that the average buyer will spend more than $700 on an iPhone, so they will probably prefer the new generation models.
