Cortana: Microsoft is very keen to improve Android and iOS apps and services to make the user experience as good as possible.
Initially, a feature exclusive to Windows, Cortana, has been improved on iOS and Android, with iPhone and iPad seeing a notable performance upgrade.
Cortana will launch 20% faster on an iPhone, according to Microsoft, and if you think that's not something really important, you're wrong.
Enabling Cortana 20% faster makes for a much better experience at all times throughout the day, which is especially important on an iPhone where users have already enjoyed Siri's capabilities.
Obviously, Microsoft's big challenge on iOS is to convince users that Cortana is a better choice than Siri, which Apple is of course constantly upgrading.
Cortana features Windows 10 integration in a way that allows users to have multiple access to the Internet, which is very useful for Mac users.
This is a strategy that Microsoft has also embraced on Android, and through Cortana it is trying to keep computers in sync with mobile phones.
You can download the latest version of Cortana (2.6.7 today) from the App Store.
