Microsoft recently released a new version of the Skype App for Apple's macOS operating system , showcasing the new features and improvements it has implemented in its powerful VoIP application.

"Starting today, you can use Skype on all your devices. The new desktop version of Skype lets you connect naturally with tools and features that can enhance your everyday conversations," a company spokesperson said.
Microsoft recently updated the mobile version of Skype for iOS with support for automatic acceptance of requests, various messaging improvements, and some performance and reliability improvements. The new Skype for desktop version also introduces a notification panel and add-ins support.
While the add-ins are only available to Skype Insiders, other users can enjoy other new features, such as the media gallery to find shared content faster than ever in the conversation collection, participate in messages directly, or report them as missed using the new notification panel.
The new Skype for desktop version also offers support for @mentions so you can quickly and easily get someone's attention in a group conversation, as well as support for reactions.
Reactions let you express your emotions in messages during text or video calls. Additionally, the Skype App now comes built-in with bots that promise to help you plan your day or stay up to date with what's going on.
