Microsoft unveiled the Surface Book 2 last week in an announcement that coincided with the release of the Fall Creators Update, and now the company has begun aggressive marketing to show the world how great the new devices are.
In a recent statement, Yusuf Mehdi, head of devices and services at Microsoft, emphasized that the Surface Book 2 combines “power, optimal design and flexibility” while praising one of its main features, the battery life that reaches 17 hours. He continued by emphasizing that manufacturers often face problems with building a battery that offers long life and the Surface Book 2 has it without much effort.
Yusuf Mehdi also praised the creative design of the Surface Book 2, emphasizing the touchscreen and support for Surface Pen and Surface Dial as the main reasons that make it stand out from the Apple MacBook.
"None of these Surface features are found on the MacBook. Our series is the result of a team effort and creative work. We always try to take the Surface series one step further," he said.
Speaking about the future of devices according to Microsoft's vision, Yusuf Mehdi pointed out that there is no chance of abandoning the Surface line. This comes in response to analysts who suggested that Microsoft should stop releasing the series and focus exclusively on the cloud and software.
