Microsoft has finally released the new Windows 10 Fall Creators Update after months of testing beta builds with the help of users enrolled in the Windows Insider program.
As with the previous major update (Creators Update) released earlier this year, the Fall Creators Update will be distributed gradually, as the company continues to gather feedback from users to address potential issues before allowing the upgrade to everyone.
This means that those who don't see the update in Windows Update will have to wait until Microsoft allows it. Of course, if you can't wait, there's always the Windows 10 Assistant. For those who don't know, it's an alternative way to download the new version manually.
But before you proceed, you should know that Microsoft recommends that users wait until they see the Fall Creators Update in Windows Update. The company hasn't given a date for when that might happen, but it sounds like the safest solution.
The release time of the update always depends on the number of errors that will be identified after the first release to the general public.
The new Windows 10 Fall Creators Update comes with many new features, such as support for mixed reality and 3D applications with Paint 3D (which continues to be offered alongside the classic Paint application).
Gaming has also been improved with updates to Game Mode and Mixer, while the Photos app comes with more tools, including 3D effects, ink, video, and support for memories and stories that you can edit yourself.
