The Disney Movies Anywhere service is set to be discontinued soon and will be replaced by a new service featuring some major production companies.
Movies Anywhere is a promising video streaming service created thanks to 20th Century Fox, Sony Pictures, Warner Bros, Universal, and of course Disney.
Google's Ben Serridge recently revealed that Google Play and Movies Anywhere will bring movies to a common place where you can store all your favorites from Google Play, iTunes, Amazon, or even Vudu. The best part is that you can watch them anywhere, on any platform.
“We’re taking Movies Anywhere a step further by allowing you to access your movie library from Google Play, Amazon, iTunes and Vudu platforms, transforming it into a single library,” said Ben Serridge, Product Manager, Google Play Movies & TV.
The service will initially be available in the US and will allow you to combine your iTunes, Google Play, Amazon or Vudu accounts so you can more easily make all your purchases from Warner Bros., Disney, Sony Pictures, Universal and 20th Century Fox in one place, on any device or operating system, no matter where you are.
All you have to do is install the new Movies Anywhere app on iOS or Android device. You can also visit the official page, connect your accounts, and watch all the movies on Google Play.
