Although LG announced its new smartphone, the G6, this year, reports claim that the company is planning to release new variants as soon as possible. In particular, there is a lot of excitement surrounding a report that claims that the new G6 Plus and G6 Pro will be announced in the near future.
According to the report, the two models will not be an upgrade of the original, meaning they will not run on Qualcomm's new platform, the Snapdragon 835, but will be equipped with the Snapdragon 821 SoC, just like the G6.
The G6 Plus, however, intends to bring some changes such as 128GB of internal storage and wireless charging, features not found on the standard G6.
The main difference between the two LG G6 variants is only in terms of pricing. The G6 Plus will be priced at $890 while the G6 Pro will be priced at $700. It should be recalled that the original model of the series, the G6, is currently sold in Korea for $800.
LG's senior communications manager, Ken Hong, said, "While I cannot yet confirm or deny this specific news, rest assured that our company is interested in expanding its products to offer consumers more choices with different features to meet their specific needs."
In short, the giant does not confirm the launch of the G6 Pro and G6 Plus but neither does it rule out the possibility, proving that the new models are in the works.
