Apple's "Get a Mac" ads were quite popular in the 2000s, with their fun lines and dialogue between the two actors aimed at convincing consumers to pick up a Mac. Now actor Justin Long has been hired to star in a new series of ads for Huawei devices.

In one of the videos, Justin Long was interviewing for a director position in a new ad for Huawei's Mate 9. The video praises the Mate 9's powerful battery that can last two days without any charging, as well as its advanced camera capabilities.
It also showcases Amazon's Alexa AI virtual assistant, which is built into Huawei's Mate 9. The second ad shows Huawei's MateBook taking part in an audition for a new production, while the Mate 9 and Justin Long watch the notebook.
The new ads are quite different compared to Apple's "Get a Mac" ads, but there are some similarities. The videos are short, the dialogue is a humorous note with Justin Long being the only character, unlike the "Get a Mac" ads which often featured guest appearances by various celebrities, one of whom was Gisele Bundchen.
Still, it's a bold move for Huawei to partner with an actor who has been associated with Apple products for years. The move confirms Huawei's intention to expand into the US and gain more and more customers, and the company is on the right track.
Huawei will announce its upcoming P10 flagship in the coming weeks, which will definitely grab consumers' attention with its rumored Leica sensors and dual-edge curved display.
