Apple recently released its expected financial results for the first quarter of 2017 and announced that it set all-time sales records with the iPhone 7 models and the Apple Watch.

The results were not a surprise after Q4, Apple managed to take advantage of Samsung's missteps and surpassed the South Korean company when it came to global smartphone shipments and marketshare.
During the press conference to announce the latest financial results, CEO Tim Cook also said that the iPhone 7 Plus is the most popular “Plus” model the company has ever sold. Truth be told, Apple has only announced two other Plus phones, the iPhone 6 Plus and the iPhone 6s Plus.
However, it seems that Apple's decision on the screen size for the Plus models has paid off, considering that the iPhone 7 Plus with a 5.5-inch screen outperformed the 4.7-inch iPhone 7, the 5.5-inch iPhone 6 Plus, and the 5.5-inch iPhone 6s Plus.
The other two Plus models have the same screen and don't offer any more advanced features compared to the regular versions. This means that the dual-camera setup on the back of the iPhone 7 Plus was the phone's main selling point, despite costing $120 more than the standard model.
The 7 Plus comes with a standard wide-angle lens and a 56mm telephoto lens to deliver stunning photos. It also comes with a Portrait mode for creating high-quality DSLR images with blurred backgrounds.
Judging by the numbers, Apple 's upcoming iPhone 8 should have a Plus variant with a dual-LED camera setup and Jet Black color, seeing as these features seem to be a big hit with consumers.
