Dell EMC today announced the availability of ProDeploy Client Suite, enabling customers to deploy PCs faster, with less effort and greater control. With three different levels of service, training and certification, customers have the flexibility to choose the service that meets their needs.
IDC research shows that organizations that partner with desktop deployment providers can achieve significant cost reductions, faster system deployments, and a better employee experience.
With ProDeploy Client Suite, customers can trust Dell EMC experts and partners to handle every detail of their deployment, from planning, configuring and installing their computers to data migration and knowledge transfer. Customers work with a Dell EMC expert who acts as a single point of contact to manage the deployment and also gain access to TechDirect, a self-service portal for configuration updates and status reports, whenever desired.
Addressing every need, from the simplest to the most complex, is covered by the Pro Deploy Client Suite services offered, which features individual service options at three levels to better respond to different typical installation scenarios, depending on customer needs.
“Our differentiated services are a big reason why our customers buy from Dell. The ProDeploy Client Suite gives IT managers the flexibility to outsource time-consuming deployment tasks that take their staff away from more important initiatives,” said Jeff Clarke, Dell vice chairman, Operations and president, Client Solutions Group. “So they can now focus on improving the user experience and increasing productivity by delivering fully configured systems to their employees.”.
ProDeploy Client Suite:
Basic Deployment: systems are prepared for installation and arrive with the software image (disk image) loaded, the desired BIOS configuration and an accompanying asset tag.
ProDeploy: Along with the basic installation features, an installation engineer develops an installation plan that covers all aspects of system hardware and software installation and configuration, 24/7 on-site installation capability, and post-installation knowledge transfer. Customers can also use the ImageAssist tool to quickly create, deploy, and maintain a dynamic disk image that is common across desktop and mobile platforms. In third-party testing, ImageAssist required up to 88% less customer administration time than manual image creation.
ProDeploy Plus: The most advanced level of service addresses every aspect of the project required to deliver new PCs from the factory to the office, ready to go. Along with the features offered by ProDeploy, ProDeploy Plus customers get Dell Connected Configuration, which allows them to create a distribution point for their own Microsoft System Center Configuration Manager directly at the factory to securely configure BIOS, disk image, and domain, reducing the amount of setup required. They also get data migration and secure wipe of legacy systems, training modules that can be used at any time to attend training seminars, and 30 days of post-installation support, as well as a dedicated ProSupport Technical Account Manager.4 ProDeploy Plus can help reduce the time it takes to deploy PCs by 35%1 and save up to $620 per PC installed.
“Dell EMC is committed to delivering world-class services that give customers choice, flexibility and scalability,” said Doug Schmitt, President, Dell EMC Services. “The ProDeploy Client Suite continues our tradition of continuous innovation, offering customers new solutions that can help them get the most out of their Dell technology. The powerful combination of expertise, automation and control empowers IT resources and empowers end users to use their systems as soon as they are deployed.”.
Highly trained specialists from Dell EMC and its partners, equipped with innovative, high-quality tools, support the ProDeploy Client Suite, aiming to transform the deployment experience from a laborious to an easy process. From day one, customers have a dedicated project manager who manages every aspect of the deployment – monitoring activity, coordinating resources and providing assistance with any issues and questions.
Installation projects are planned and managed through TechDirect, a self-service portal that allows customers and partners to easily and confidently track and manage installation projects from project scoping, change implementation, system configuration and operational oversight. Projects are completed faster and with less error, making the entire process more efficient and effective.
The ProDeploy Client Suite also gives Dell EMC channel partners the right design framework to add their own capabilities, increase their services revenue, and provide the best possible deployment experience to their customers. Partners have the flexibility to resell or take on a role in delivering deployment services. With appropriate training and certification through TechDirect, partners who achieve the Deployment Services Competency and upon successful examination gain access to Dell EMC methodologies and related tools. They are now considered eligible to participate in delivering ProDeploy Plus and ProDeploy services.
