Microsoft recently released a new update for Skype for Linux Alpha bringing a much-awaited feature and many bug fixes.
The new Skype for Linux Alpha 1.13 may still be in alpha, but it (finally) brings support for SMS. So all Linux users who use the app will now be able to send SMS directly from their computers.
This feature has been one of the most requested features since development of the new Skype for Linux began.
At the same time, the new version of Skype also brings an update to Electron to version 1.4.7, and according to Microsoft the application includes a better crash and problem reporting service.
