The Repository of the Acropolis Monuments Conservation Service was created with the aim of digitally organizing and systematically making available on the internet the archival material from the restoration works of the Acropolis of Athens.
In the first phase, documentation material (study texts, plans, photographic and audiovisual material) of the restoration interventions of the Erechtheion from the period 1979-1987 is made available to the public, which will be systematically enriched with new material alongside the completion and delivery of the restoration works and at the other monuments of the Acropolis.
The electronic catalogue of the USMA Library was developed in the openABEKT environment and is made available to the public for the first time.
The Repository and the electronic catalogue have been developed within the framework of the Action “Platform for Providing Deposition, Management and Dissemination Services of Open Public Documentation Data and Digital Content”, which was implemented by the EKT and is part of the Operational Programme “Digital Convergence” (ESPA), with co‑financing from Greece and the European Union.
In the second part of the event, the editions carried out by the Acropolis Monuments Conservation Service and the Acropolis Monuments Conservation Committee will be presented, with credits from the “National Strategic Reference Framework” (ESPA) in 2015, with which the tradition of the systematic edition of the scientific work carried out on the Acropolis monuments within the framework of restoration projects continues, which was started by ESMA in 1976.
