Samsung has announced ten new multifunction printer (MFP) models that will be released in the European market .
These models, according to a company announcement, are the first printers of their kind to feature an Android and are designed for greater independence, while being customizable to meet the different needs of each business environment.
"With the aim of developing printing solutions that meet the needs of the IT and Smart Office ecosystem, Android- powered multifunction devices will feature the Samsung Smart UX Center , so that they can operate independently, without the need to connect to a PC," it is reported.
The new mart MultiXpress MFPs feature a 10.1” touchscreen that allows users to search and print from web browsers, emails, maps, images, and other types of content, without the need for a PC or server connection. The touchscreen also offers the ability to preview documents, as well as edit and annotate.
The new Samsung Smart MultiXpress MFPs feature Samsung 's Smart UX Center – the same touch technology found in the Samsung Galaxy series of smartphones and tablets.
The Android OS gives the Samsung Smart MultiXpress MFPs the ability to connect wherever the user is via Samsung Cloud Print, enhancing connectivity and customization capabilities.
In addition, all Smart MultiXpress series multifunction devices are compatible with Samsung 's XOA (eXtensible Open Architecture) printing solutions platform and can be customized to meet the needs of each business.
The new Samsung Smart MultiXpress MFPs feature Samsung 's Smart UX Center – the same touch technology found in the Samsung Galaxy series of smartphones and tablets.
Additionally, the new MFPs feature NFC Pro technology to meet the needs of the B2B market. With the addition of the new Samsung NFC Pro (sold separately), users gain access to the new MFPs for mobile printing via smartphones, as well as enhanced IT management features, such as the ability to more easily “copy” the same security settings to multiple MFPs, simply by touching the NFC Pro.
According to the company's announcement, "the Samsung Smart MultiXpress series of multifunction devices will enhance performance and productivity, while providing even greater data processing speed - 1.5 times faster than the previous 1GHz single-core CPU, thanks to the 1GHz dual-core CPU - allowing multiple users to print and scan large files without interruption. In addition, the Smart MultiXpress series of multifunction devices feature longer-lasting toner and drum compared to similar models, improving reliability and reducing costs."
The Smart MultiXpress multifunction printer series consists of ten new models of different printers, including:
- The X4300 Series A3 Color Multifunction Printers: The series consists of the X4300LX, X4250LX and X4220RX models, with print speeds of 30, 25 and 2 pages per minute respectively. The X4300 series is equipped with Dual-Scan ADF technology, allowing scanning of up to 100 double-sided color images per minute and up to 120 monochrome images. All models also feature Samsung Rendering Engine for Clean Page (ReCP) technology, as well as Polymerized Toner. The X4300LX model has the ability to print up to 85,000 pages per month. The black and white toner life is 23,000 pages and the drum life is 100,000 pages.
- The K4350 Series Monochrome A3 Multifunction Printers: The series includes the K4350LX, K4300LX and K4250RX models, with print speeds of 30, 35 and 25 pages per minute respectively. The K4350 series features Dual-Scan ADF technology, for scanning up to 100 double-sided color images per minute and up to 120 monochrome images. The K4350LX model has the ability to print up to 85,000 pages per month. The toner life is 35,000 pages and the drum is 200,000 pages.
- The M5370 Series Monochrome A4 Multifunction Printers: The series consists of the M5370LX and M4370LX models, with print speeds of 53 and 43 pages per minute respectively. The series is equipped with Dual-Scan ADF technology, for scanning up to 80 double-sided images per minute. The M5370 series can print up to 300,000 pages per month. The toner life is 30,000 pages and the drum is 100,000 pages
- The M4580 Series Monochrome A4 Multifunction Printers: The series features the M4580FX and M4583FX models, with a print speed of 45 pages per minute. The M4580 series is equipped with Dual-Scan ADF technology, allowing scanning of up to 60 double-sided images. It can also print up to 200,000 pages per month. The toner life is 40,000 pages and the drum life is 100,000 pages.
