One thing you can be sure of with Facebook. That things rarely stay the same for long. Changes come and go, some for a better user experience, while others to increase their revenue.
Sometimes with a billion users on Facebook, comments about changes come and go. Some welcome the changes, while others complain. Of course, with that many users, not everyone can be happy.
One group that is definitely happy with Facebook’s changes are scammers! We’ve seen plenty of scams taking advantage of the confusion and chaos brought about by the platform’s redesign. We’ve also seen plenty of scams that exploit Facebook users’ desire for features that don’t exist, like the ability to see who has viewed their profile or a “dislike” button
When today's Facebook Timeline first came out, it was met with disdain and much disappointment. Several surveys showed that users were not happy with the change and preferred the single-column layout, just like in the pre-Timeline era.
Cybercriminals and spammers took advantage of this, with a plethora of scams themed around "Timeline Removal.".
So, we want to warn you. In the coming days and weeks, as the new changes roll out to more users, you may see messages like “Get the new Timeline” or “Remove the new Timeline” or other similar updates that tell you what you want.
