CES 2013: Intel, let's make all PCs like the iPad

INTEL

Intel had a very strong presence at this year's CES and immediately made its presence felt with a video that played at the start of CES and that pompously named its new wave of innovations as a "Game Changer." In other words, it came to change the rules of the game.

Impressive and bold, he declared, and it would be essential if he didn't copy Apple!!

And Intel wants to stay in hardware and doesn't want to compete with Apple as a company, but what it is slowly trying to impose on manufacturers of ultrabooks and PCs is to make them look more like iPads.

With technologies such as Intel's Wireless Display (WiDi), which is identical to Apple's AirPlay, and as the fourth-generation Intel Core processor will offer compatible Ultrabooks at least 9 hours of battery life with a consumption of 10 watts, it tries to comfortably provide the autonomy of an iPad.

The company has promised to launch new Ultrabooks that will use these processors. During the demo, Intel showed off an ultrabook with a 13-hour battery life! Ultrabooks with touchscreens will start at $599, while those with a detachable keyboard that converts to tablets will start at $799.

So an interesting move from a company that has known how to establish itself and impose directions on personal computers for many years.
