Many people assume that because they always have their precious iPhone with them, it is safe. But that is not the case!
It's true that most of the time when an iPhone is hacked, the hackers have gained physical access to the phone. So many users don't take full advantage of iOS's security options, and as a result, malware can be installed on devices much faster than you might think.
But now there's a new app in the iOS App Store that can tell you if your phone has been hacked. The first step to installing spyware or other malware on an iPhone is always the same: jailbreaking! Without this crucial first step, the malware doesn't have access to all of your personal information and files.

You've probably read about jailbreaking and how it works, but whether you believe it or not, it's very difficult to tell if your phone has been jailbroken, as it's very easy to hide the evidence. Luckily, there's this app on the App Store that hackers can't hide from.
The app was created by German security researcher Stefan Esser and is called System and Security Info. It is specifically designed to show you important information about your iPhone that focuses solely on security.
Among other things, System and Security Info checks whether an iPhone is jailbroken or not. If the app tells you that your phone has been jailbroken and you haven't done it yourself, that's obviously a sign that you need to do something immediately. If you don't know what to do, contact Apple Support immediately.
For those who jailbreak their devices themselves, the app can also check that no malware has been installed.
