The second Beta version of the upcoming GNOME 3.12 music application, which will be part of the upcoming GNOME 3.12 desktop, is available for download and review.
The new version introduces an initial help infrastructure, outputs more information if a particular song cannot be played, and stores the last 10 songs played.
Several other small improvements have been added to this version and various bugs have been fixed, including the removal of “Now Playing” from the app menu, songs no longer play when paused, and the current track now resumes when you click the Previous button.
Additionally, the app no longer crashes when trying to play a file with a strangely encoded name, selecting all albums is now a visible feature, and the scroll bar position is now at the current song whenever a track changes.
Several languages have been updated in GNOME 3.12 Music Beta 2, including Spanish, Italian, Tajik, Norwegian, Czech, Hebrew, Brazilian Portuguese, Chinese, Hungarian, Lithuanian, and Finnish.
