The following is now being used experimentally: Cortana by selected Android users. Just a short time ago the Microsoft began its operation Cortana for Android for a select few in the United States, with this service, the virtual assistant provides its services just like in Windows 10When the application first appeared, users quickly discovered that it An important feature was missing.
Users could not “set” the app to be the default, which would mean replacing Google Now, which was the corresponding default app. The new version that allows this feature is 1.0.204., so while users previously pressed the “home button” to go to Google Now, they now have the option to be redirected directly to Cortana, according to Microsoft News.
It is not yet known when the Android Cortana will be ready to move into beta and be released on the Google Play Store, where it will be available to the general public for download and testing. If you are interested, you can still join the beta program by clicking on the following link: Introducing Cortana for Android on Microsoft.
When Cortana is ready, it will debut with most of the features available to Windows Phone users, except for the “Hey Cortana” voice activation feature, which will not be available due to hardware incompatibility. Beyond that, Android users won’t be left behind in terms of options.
Hopefully it won't be long before Cortana for Android makes its official debut on the Play Store.
