The hackers who breached Adobe's website appear to be responsible for another major cyberattack. According to Brian Krebs, the cybercriminals managed to steal the data of 850,000 people from CorporateCarOnline, a company that develops and distributes software for limousine rental companies.
CorporateCarOnline provides management software solutions to companies. The company's products are used for booking management, dispatch, scheduling, invoicing and other functions.
It appears that the company's systems contained the personal and financial information of 850,000 people. Needless to say, most of them are celebrities and corporate executives. The stolen data includes names, addresses, credit card numbers and expiration dates.
Krebs reports that CorporateCarOnline has confirmed the online hit, but declined to provide additional details.
It is very likely, however, that the attackers exploited a ColdFusion vulnerability on the company's website.
The list of people whose information was stolen includes American basketball player LeBron James, football player Aaron Rodgers, actors Tom Hanks and Donald Trump, as well as Senators Mark Udall, John Breaux and Tom Daschle, as well as US Representatives Joe Garcia, Gus Bilirakis, Jim Matheson, Lynn Westmoreland, Joe Baca and many, many others.
