Anonymous takes responsibility for attacks in Turkey!

It seems that hacktivists from the Anonymous group are not only targeting ISIS directly, but are also causing great chaos in countries that are indirectly responsible, such as Turkey.

Anonymous has claimed responsibility for a series of cyberattacks targeting banks, Internet backbones and government websites in Turkey. The campaign is aimed at punishing the country for turning a blind eye to many of the activities of the extremist group ISIS, such as oil smuggling. According to Radware, the attacks were so intense that they gained access to 400,000 websites and prompted Turkey to block traffic in an effort to keep them online.

It is still unclear whether the Anonymous group is primarily responsible for the attacks, although they claimed responsibility in a video posted on YouTube. A website administrator says the attacks come from organized sources outside Turkey, and there is also strong concern that they may come from Russia in retaliation for Turkey shooting down one of its warplanes.

So far, the Turkish government has refused to point fingers and blame anyone, claiming it has things under control. It may be a long time before the attacks stop and it becomes clear who is responsible.
