Google's new acquisition is a humanoid robot created on its behalf by Boston Dynamics.
Atlas, as his name is, is 1.88 meters tall and weighs 150 kilograms, while his latest feat is the fact that he managed to run without falling even once on a path in the middle of a forest, even when researchers, in order to test his endurance, kicked the Robot or added extra weight to it.

Boston Dynamics founder Marc Raibert showed off the video of the humanoid's abilities at a symposium in Cambridge on August 3. "We're working on humanoid robots that come from these models. They study the way humans and animals move in an attempt to copy and even improve on them. We're focusing on balance and dynamics, working on the way animals and humans move quickly and avoid falls," said Marc Raibert.
In a video that was presented, the humanoid appeared to run through the forest without falling, thus proving that the goal was achieved.
As Google , it used weights, and even boxing gloves, to test the robot's abilities and its ability to balance on uneven terrain, such as running through the forest.
According to its announcement, Atlas is strong, can walk on its own two feet, climb with its legs and arms, and can move through crowded spaces. The ultimate goal is for the humanoid robot to become even more agile than humans.
