Globo has published a new study that examines the benefits of a codeless environment.
Over the past eight years, the demand for business mobile applications has increased, but companies are unable to keep up with the developments due to the lack of experienced mobile developers in their workforce. Today, many companies face delays in implementing mobile applications, excessive development costs, limited employee productivity, and an inability to support application development needs at the business manager level.
Globo's new study, "Codeless Mobile App Platforms: Quantifying Value and Analyzing Strategy" (conducted by research firm Smith's Point Analytics), documents why codeless app development platforms are the solution to the above issues and summarizes their benefits:
- They reduce application development time from months to weeks
- They offer the average developer the ability to develop four applications per month
- They do not require specialized programmers, as they provide even those without programming knowledge with the appropriate "tools" for creating applications on a variety of mobile and web operating systems
- Ability to develop applications in various areas of a business
- They allow businesses to provide mobile access to corporate data and create applications that increase employee productivity, earning the business up to $12,450 (approximately €11,345) per year for each corporate user of the application
- Through the use of codeless development platforms, companies that develop applications can provide their clients with up to $4.8 million (approximately €4.4 million) in value for each mobile application
The report analyzes the different strategies , the different approaches that exist in development platforms (those that are codeless, but also those that are a mixture of native apps and codeless), the productivity performance, the return on investment (ROI) and the value of the codeless environment for application development.
