The National Research and Technology Network (NRTN S.A.) is organizing a webinar on Tuesday, March 31, 2015, from 4:00 PM to 5:30 PM, with the aim of informing and supporting parents and teachers who are interested in building a close relationship with parents of students on issues related to the safe use of the Internet, addressing the risks that lurk for minors, and the possibilities of protecting children from inappropriate content.
Parents will be informed about the tools available for free to help their children benefit from the internet by using it for entertainment and educational purposes, while avoiding potential risks.

The webinar is held in collaboration with the Adolescent Health Unit (AHU), the 2nd Pediatric Clinic of the University of Athens, Children's Hospital "P & A Kyriakou" with a speech by the Scientific Director A. Tsitsika. A. Louvris, active member of theAdvisory Board of the Greek Safer Internet Center and curator of the "Internet Safety" node of the Panhellenic School Network (PSD) will speak about "Internet Safety: A service of the Panhellenic School Network as a lifelong learning tool". Finally, G.Moschos, Assistant Ombudsman for the Rights of the Child will answer questions related to how we handle issues of limits in the use of the Internet and issues related to the right to private space of children.
The action to inform parents and teachers is based on the European project Open Discovery Space (ODS), in which the Hellenic National Education Fund S.A. actively participates, with the aim of encouraging and supporting teachers and parents in the use of technology and the utilization of digital educational material in teaching.
