Owners of the NETGEARcan install the new software update package suitable for all countries (except Germany). NETGEAR has released version 1.0.0.58, which fixes ADSL instability, as well as the DHCPNACK error on addresses.
In addition, this update also resolves some router logs not appearing on the syslog server. It also fixes the incorrect WiFi status in the GUI when the SSID was disabled and prepares the device to be compliant with the new EN 300 328 standard and new legislation.
Knowing about the new features, users who intend to upgrade the DGN2200v4 device, first of all should check the installed firmware and make sure that it is not newer or equivalent to the new updated version.
Then, if everything is in order, they need to save and export the file, and connect the router and computer with a wired connection. This is necessary since the wireless connection tends to drop randomly and therefore interrupt the installation.
Now, through the router's management page, using the username and password, the user selects Maintenance > Router Upgrade, and from the “Browse” menu, selects the .chk file from the recently created folder, and “Upload”.
At this point, firmware version 1.0.0.58 is being sent to the device and once transferred, the unit will automatically start the upgrade. Keep in mind that, during the installation, the process should not be interrupted in any way, so as not to cause problems later.
