How are you planning to spend the Christmas holidays? Even if you don't go anywhere, peace and quiet and a break from the routine of daily activities may, in some cases, be necessary for you. If among the things you don't want to do is also dealing with your emails, there is a solution (as far as Gmail , at least) and it goes by the name of “Vacation Responder”.
It's what it sounds like: an automatic reply that you can send when you don't want to spend time contacting anyone who sends you a message in Gmail account.
You can activate it now, for the exact period you want, as follows. From Settings , find your account settings and then “Vacation Responder” . Select the days you want the feature to be activated, write the message you want it to include, choose whether you want it to only concern contacts and… press ON on the option. You’re done!
Please note that automatic replies are not sent to email addresses identified as spam or to mailing lists to which you are subscribed, while the same option can be found in the browser settings on your computer.
