Google's email service provides users with many applications to make their lives easier.
According to the magazine Pc Magazine, the launch of Google's email service 10 years ago brought many changes to email, but what made the difference noticeable were the additional options that the user enabled through Gmail Labs.
As reported by fpress.gr, Google makes Gmail users' lives easier by providing them the ability to use five additional applications that literally solve the hands. For those who are not aware of their existence they can see what they are and what capabilities they offer below:
1. Canned Responses
Many times users need to respond in a specific way to certain emails with minimal customization. The ability to have canned responses is particularly useful, especially for those working in support or technical support of a company.
2. Boomerang
Boomerang is an application that allows users to send emails at a specific time. Quite simply, the user now writes an email and Boomerang takes over sending it at the time the user desires.
3. Rapportive
Rapportive is a useful service, especially for those working in the human resources department of a company. Rapportive searches the Internet for the user's LineIn profile and displays it to the right of the conversation.
4. Streak
Streak is a special add-on that those who use Google Apps and those who have their email for use in online collaboration will appreciate. The automated functions it offers, along with the ability for users to collaborate, make it ideal for teams.
5. Undo Send
By activating this feature, after Send, there is a 10-second time (can be up to 30 seconds) to confirm sending the email. You will find this option as “Undo Send” in Gmail Labs and all you need to do is activate it and set the time period that allows you to undo sending the outgoing email.
