“Getting to Know the Barren Line” is a web series on YOUTUBE about some of the islands of the barren line. Together with the presenter, we travel to Amorgos, Patmos, Leros and Lipsi! The purpose of the series is to showcase and present Greek islands, which are less popular, but equally beautiful!
Last summer, everyone was able to become a fellow traveler on this journey, by liking the Facebook page (www.facebook.com/gnorizontastinagonigrammi) and following the filming of the series on Instagram (https://instagram.com/gnwrizontastinagonigrammi) and Twitter (www.twitter.com/Agoni_Grammi)! The aim was to guide the audience by connecting social media with the real time of the filming of the series, and through the journey of the actors to promote the areas and sights of the islands of Amorgos, Patmos, Leros and Lipsi!
The idea was born as an extension of the show “Getting to Know Attica”, which has already been broadcast for one season, and showcases ideal well-known and lesser-known places in Attica for year-round getaways outside of Athens and within Attica. The goal is to familiarize the audience with Attica, to discover its beauties and to choose it as a destination for weekend getaways!
In this context, the YouTube channel “Getting to Know Greece” was created with the vision of exploring lesser-known areas throughout Greece, from winter destinations to islands! So on this production trip we filled the Fiat Panda’s tank with natural gas in Athens and boarded the Blue Star II for Amorgos! Greece is a country with so many beauties, and the mission of the series is to discover them, then promote them!
