The American software and electronics company Microsoft announced that it proceeded with the acquisition of the Swedish company Mojang, which has launched the popular video game Minecraft, for an amount that reaches 2.5 billion dollars, that is, neither little nor much, 1.93 billion euros.
The game Minecraft has already sold 54 million copies worldwide. Players have the ability to build various structures with Lego-style bricks, and they can also explore vast areas and engage in conflicts with other players.
The news about the acquisition was announced by Phil Spencer, head of the relevant department for Microsoft's gaming console, Xbox.
