One of the problems faced by most users who use chat applications (Messenger, Viber, Skype and others) is that they receive notifications for new messages on all devices.
With most applications supporting most operating systems, this results in notifications for messages and calls on the user's computer, smartphone, and tablet.
However, they have figured this out and are fixing it in Skype, which, starting with its latest version, will recognize which device the user is on and will send the notification for a new message to it.
However, this will not apply to phone calls, as the user may wish to answer from a specific device that is convenient for them.
Nice move by Skype and we hope other applications will follow suit.
