The app is already among the top positions in the App Store and Play Store
There is huge interest in the cyberkid application that was implemented by the Cybercrime Division of the Hellenic Police with sponsorship from WIND as part of the initiative www.cyberkid.gr of the Ministry of Public Order and the headquarters of ELAS.
A few days after the official «first» of the application, cyberkid is already in the top positions in the App Store (No 21) in the news category and Play Store (No 43) in the new applications category.
Meanwhile, the traffic to the site www.cyberkid.gr increased by 300%, demonstrating not only the usefulness of the application, but also the ongoing need of parents and children for reliable information regarding issues related to the safe use of the internet.
The cyberkid stands out for its innovative – not only at a European level but also worldwide – SOS line – Cyber Alert which gives children the ability to communicate instantly (touchscreen call) and in real time with the Operations Center of the Cybercrime Investigation, with the primary purpose of ensuring the physical integrity of the children, as well as any event that involves danger or a threat to life for them.
«The new generations are rapidly developing digital intelligence and culture as they grow up within technology. Mobile phones and the Internet are part of their lives from a young age and we need institutional initiatives such as the site “www.cyberkid.gr” and the cyberkid App so that they are educated to leverage technology in a positive way» said George Tsaprounis, Director of Corporate Relations at WIND Greece.
