Microsoft released the official Office for Android app for smartphones a year ago and now wants to optimize it for tablets .
The final version is expected by the end of the year and will be based on the design of the corresponding version for iPad, while supporting Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
According to information from The Verge, the company intends to release a private beta version of Office for Android tablets, with beta testers being accepted through the SharePoint.
As we wrote a few days ago, Microsoft intends to make the version of Office for Android tablets available to the public earlier than the version of Office for Windows 8 devices, which makes sense, since Android is the most popular mobile platform.
