Information and communication technologies are recovering

550_334_187317The global Information and Communications Technologies (ICT) industry is recovering at a satisfactory pace in the two-year period 2014-2015.

According to the analysis of the European Information Technology Observator (EITO) presented today by the Association of Information and Communications Enterprises (SEPE), the Information and Communications Technologies (ICT) market is expected to show, in 2014, a new - albeit smaller than a year earlier - improvement of 4.1%, with the market value estimated at 2.957 trillion euros. For 2015, the estimates suggest further growth, by 4%, to 3.074 trillion euros.

The ICT market in Greece, although it will remain in negative territory this year, is expected to show a de-escalation of the decline in 2015.
In particular, the ICT market in Greece is expected to show a 3% decrease in 2014 and the total market value is expected to reach 5.716 billion euros, while for 2015 it is estimated to show a 1.8% decrease and will reach 5.612 billion euros.According to the EITO analysis, the performance of the global ICT industry in the two years 2014-2015 is a continuation of the stabilizing course of the market last year, when it strengthened by 6.7% to 2.841 trillion euros.
The growing demand for software, IT services and telecommunications (devices, equipment and services - related to Mobility), lead the global ICT industry, as in 2013.

The estimates for the course of the global ICT market, as reflected in the EITO analysis, are accompanied by important footnotes, related to the crisis in Ukraine, stagnation in Europe, economic instability in China and the emerging "fatigue" in the device market (tablets, smartphones, notebooks), which is showing the first signs of saturation.
