A few days before WWDC 2014 where Apple will present its goals and new products, it seems that iOS 8 will finally feature the long-awaited split screen in applications, just like Microsoft's Surface.
Apple intends to implement split-screen functionality between apps that can interact with each other. For example, transferring notes from the Safari browser to the Notes app, notifications from Calendar, etc. We hope that split-screen will work in general, so that, for example, with Skype open, the user can watch a YouTube video at the same time.
The split-screen feature will certainly apply to all 9.7-inch iPads, while its fate, especially on existing iPhones, is considered by many to be unnecessary. However, it will free up the hands of designers and those who use the iPad for creativity.
