New revelations are coming to light about the 47-year-old who had made a fortune by selling university papers on demand via Facebook, and of course without compensation.
According to information from "Newsit", the police officers of the Cybercrime Prosecution who uncovered the case and sent the voluminous case file to the Prosecutor, in addition to the client list of 200 students who received a degree with purchased theses, discovered in the 47-year-old's electronic files, a new client list with the names of approximately 1,000 people who had expressed interest in writing a thesis, either for a diploma or a master's, or even a postgraduate thesis, who had already paid an advance payment so that the 47-year-old's associates could begin researching and writing the thesis.
This new file that the Prosecution officers discovered on the 47-year-old's computers will also be thoroughly investigated and of course the results of the laboratory tests will be incorporated into the case file that has already been forwarded to the competent Prosecutor.
According to the price list discovered in the 47-year-old's possession by the Cybercrime Police, the work, depending on the scope and degree of difficulty, cost the ring's clients between 3,000 and 10,000 euros each.
Consequently, the 47-year-old and his associates had literally made a fortune from selling university papers via Facebook and it is estimated by the officers of this Service that the 47-year-old's profit could amount to 3,000,000 euros!!!
Besides, during the search carried out at the defendant's home, two bank accounts with daily activity were found, namely third-party deposits, resulting in the Cybercrime Prosecution requesting the lifting of the confidentiality of the 47-year-old's bank accounts, in order to determine the exact amount that he and his associates earned from this activity.
In the meantime, from the investigation of the data found on the 47-year-old's computers and mainly from the detailed client list he kept, names of university students have already emerged who had purchased their work from the 47-year-old and had even obtained a degree, without putting in the slightest effort themselves.
According to information from "Espresso", these first names that emerged from the investigation have already been forwarded to the competent Prosecutor handling the case, and it is expected that the Rectors of the universities where the students who purchased their works studied will be informed so that they can take the necessary steps, even removing the degree.
