It is a fact that the number of malicious browser extensions has increased significantly in recent years and recently a new Google Chrome extension is reportedly targeting Cryptocurrency users and is able to steal Bitcoins and other cryptocurrencies “silently”.
The malicious Chrome browser extension is called “CryptsyDogecoin (DOGE) LiveTicker,” which is available in the ChromeWeb store for free downloads and was developed by the account “TheTrollBox.”.
A Reddit user noticed that the updated version of the extension has malicious code, which is designed to hack cryptocurrency.
