That “Star Trek” predicted many of technological developments is nothing new, even if “prediction” is a term whose accuracy is debatable. Nevertheless, “Star Trek” was ahead of its time in more ways than one might imagine.
One of them is the way he envisioned the technology of the future, many applications of which are already in use today.

Apart from these, “Star Trek” was also quite accurate in describing the devices we know today as cell phones, Bluetooth, flat-screen TVs, and tablets. But we still haven’t created teleportation and time travel technology.
